My Five Takeaways from the 2025 Boss Mares Lead the Herd Workshop!

The Western and equine industries are full of amazing cowgirls and cowboys working hard in their businesses, ranches, training operations, and more to promote the horse, their way of life and finding new ways to make the industry better and help it grow for the future generations.
One group in particular that is really using their resources to help cowgirls especially, by giving them learning and financial opportunities to learn how to network better, grow their businesses, and more is Boss Mares. Started by four amazing women who have already done some much in their own careers and want to give back to others in the industry. This past January I was fortunate enough to attend their Lead the herd Workshop held at the National Cowgirl Museum and hall of fame in Fort Worth, TX. Where we heard from some amazing speakers and powerhouse women from the western industry.
I truly walked away with so many notes, new connections, and a new perspective on my own business and life. I have complied it down to five main takeaways that I discuss in today's episode:

Since starting this podcast my goal has always been to showcase the horse industry and professionals, but also to tell their stories of how even though we come from different backgrounds and grew up riding in different saddles, we are all still one industry with one goal! To make it better for ourselves, the horse, and the future generations. All it takes is courage, resilience, and a determination to create opportunities for ourselves in order to succeed.
