"Doing Things That Give You Butterflies!" and All Things Equine Insurance with Cassidy Carpenter of Olive Insurance Agency

As horse owners we work every day to take care of our horses and make sure they are safe and protected, but in the event that the unthinkable happens and we lose them tragically, have to put them through a risky surgery like colic, or whatever. It is important that we know we won't have to pay out of our own hard earned money or declare bankruptcy trying to pay for it. That is where equine insurance

comes into play, it's a life insurance policy for your horse or horses. It is a way to not only protect what you love, but for trainers and other horse business owners who have a barn full of client horses that they are caring for, having an equine insurance policy lowers their risk of having to close down their business because of something happening to one of the horses.

That is exactly what I talk about with this week's guest Cassidy Carpenter co-owner of Olive Insurance Agency in Lubbock, TX! She has been successfully running this business with her business partner and team of agents going on 10 years now. You can imagine the wide variety of claims and stories she has to share and we talk about a couple in the episode!

What Cassidy values most in working with clients is full transparency and communicating clearly and honestly so owners have full understanding of everything that is included in their policy and they have all the information they need to better protect their horses.

Olive insurance agency has so many different options of equine insurance from pro foal policy for when your mare is pregnant, major medical, mortality, and more. That really helps Cassidy and her team be able to cater to their clients' needs to the best of their ability and knowledge. As well as being licensed in 40 states and Canada they have a wide range of knowledge across two countries.

Cassidy really shares her passion for her business, the equine industry, and more in this episode and as a horse owner and competitor herself it helps her to better understand equine insurance and what is needed because she can relate to what is important to her clients. She also is a true business owner in that she loves what she does and integrates it into her every day life so she is available to her clients 24/7!

Equine Insurance at first can seem daunting and expensive, but when you work with the right people who understand that horses are already expensive, you can trust that they only have your best interest at heart to only pay for what you need and allow you to continue to do what you love in the show pen, the sorting pen or rodeo arena!
