Cowgirls and horses have made a lot of history throughout the years where the impact of it can be seen today. Which brings me to a question I have been thinking about lately is how do we want to be remembered in the equine industry. From the ranch to the boardroom the incredible work women do in our industry is everywhere.
As I was thinking about this topic and deciding which way to take the episode, one lady who I admire so much for her hard work, passion, and love for horses came to mind as the perfect person to talk to and hear her story in the equine industry.

Cheryl Cody has built an incredible life and career from journalism, photography, barrel racing, running horse shows and so much more. She has truly made such an impact on the equine industry and continues to do so. However, I believe her heart and work ethic is what truly shines the most from her and always thinking of what else she can do to give back to others.
Leaving a legacy doesn't always mean how you're

remembered when your gone, it can also just be the impact you are creating with your life and how your actions affect those around you. As Cheryl and I talk about in the episode, "the kindness you send out into the world will always be sent back to you." And it doesn't matter if you are the top trainer in the world or behind the scenes you are always affecting the next person in line in how they see you and how they look up to you.

Listening to Cheryl tell her story and what these recent honors mean to her was so inspiring to me, but we also share a lot of laughs in our conversation. We talk about so much from shows to her favorite things to do during the Christmas! I felt so honored to get to talk to her and listen to her amazing advice to show up, work hard, keep learning, and keep loving the horses!
